Reasons why you should apply for CEATA’s engineering apprenticeships

Apprenticeship participation now stands at a record level. CEATA can offer award-winning training that is perfect for you to get the best start in a successful engineering career. CEATA offers a number of engineering apprenticeships in the Nottingham area giving you the fantastic opportunity to gain qualifications, further your education and gain key work experience as an employee.

One of the main benefits CEATA engineering apprenticeships offer is the chance to learn while you work. CEATA offers several different apprenticeship courses and levels to provide suitable options for both employers and apprentices. 4 days of the week you will work with your employer gaining practical workplace skills. 1 day a week will be spent at CEATA’s award-winning training academy where you will study towards your qualifications.

An engineering apprenticeship with CEATA also creates amazing future career opportunities. Past apprentices have had the opportunity to work abroad and on exciting projects across the East Midlands. Once you are fully qualified as an engineer, CEATA has companies across the East Midlands that are looking for and hiring new members of staff. Earning your apprenticeship at an award-winning provider will boost your CV and increase your employability skills.

Alongside gaining key work experience and earning good qualifications doing an apprenticeship with CEATA allows you to gain new life skills and make new friends. During your sessions at CEATA you will meet people in the same situation as you. This will allow you to expand your social circle and enjoy your time at CEATA. During the working days, you’ll not only learn key practical skills but also get advice from your colleagues and employers about an engineering career. This will expand your network in the engineering community which can be extremely helpful later in life.

Starting an apprenticeship with CEATA is the perfect way to start a successful career in engineering. Your tutors will be award-winning experienced staff and will gain work experience with reputable companies around Nottingham. CEATA’s Success in May

The month of May was a busy and successful month at CEATA Training Academy. Award Nights, Graduations, new courses starting and a visit from a local MP all added to one of the highlight months of the year so far.

Canal Engineering was honoured to be a finalist in the Nottingham Post Business Awards as Apprentice Employer of the Year 2019. An award that we are very proud of as it showcases the success of our growing apprenticeship training programmes. The award now sits proudly with other awards we have won since the formation of CEATA as a training academy. Winning these awards is something our entire team and the company can be proud of for their commitment and investment in providing first class training to our learners.

Later in May, we had our own awards and graduation night. A fantastic occasion that acknowledged our apprentices for all their hard work. We had a special guest, local MP Lilian Greenwood, presenting the awards for Level 2, Level 3 Apprentice of the Year and the CEATA Special Award for 2019. General Manager Karen Hodgson says “May has certainly been a very busy month seeing learners be recognised for fantastic achievements is the best part of our job. Being an award winner ourselves is testament to the investment Canal Engineering puts into training and welcoming Lilian Greenwood was a real bonus. With everything going on this month plus a visit from Ofsted we are set for another bumper year of successes!”

Alongside award nights and celebrations we also continued the cycle of bringing in new learners starting new courses on both our pre-employment and apprenticeship training programmes. Our new learners can be assured their courses are in safe hands with an award-winning training provider.

Everyone at CEATA would like to thank all of the learners, staff and supporters for their continued hard work.
