How does CEATA select the students for apprenticeships?
For many of our NVQ courses, a basic qualification in English and Maths is crucial, however, we are open to all levels of learning. We are keen to work with those who are available and willing to learn, either through off-the-job training or foundation level experience. In terms of personal skills, we look out for those standout students who can prove themselves, push themselves and demonstrate to us a functional and practical understanding of the work they will need to do. Whilst good technical skills are important, we also take into workplace behaviours into consideration, monitoring attention to detail, professionalism and teamwork.
