Michelle Lucas | First Female Apprentice at Canal Engineering

Michelle Lucas | First Female Apprentice at Canal Engineering

Michelle came to the CEATA Training Academy as a mother of 2, with a background in hospitality, and previous maintenance knowledge from repairing and operating fairground rides as part of the family business.

At CEATA, Michelle completed a 6 week training programme, which was funded by NTN.

Shortly after receiving her qualification, Canal Engineering proudly announced that Michelle would begin working for the company (July 2015) as their first female apprentice. She is currently progressing through her training and learning new TIG welding techniques.

Canal Engineering looks forward to what Michelle can bring to the company and manufacturing team, where she will join the other apprentices who also came through The CEATA Academy programme.
